Amazon selected urban Crystal City as its HQ2 site for a couple of the same reasons the community’s residents choose to live there: transit convenience (including access to three Metro stations) and proximity to DC and Reagan National Airport. Those who want to live in a real city environment among high rises, glass office buildings, and hotels will also appreciate this Arlington community’s walkability and many shopping and dining options, including at Crystal City Shops, a unique underground retail emporium. Crystal City real estate consists mostly of high-rise condo and apartment units, with renters outnumbering owners among residents.
